Alton Lawrence  Vandiver
Mr. Alton Lawrence Vandiver, 37, of Cartersville, passed Saturday, January 20, 2018 at his residence.

Born December 11, 1980 in Atlanta, he was a son of Jerry Lamar Vandiver and Martha Ruth McElroy Vandiver. He was a graduate of Cass High School and studied music at Berry College. Alton spent his career as part of Professional Computers and Service for over 20 years. Alton was a member of First Baptist Church Cartersville and the Etowah Jazz Society Big Band. He was an avid golfer, musician, and fisherman who loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his sister, Leisl Dollie Vandiver.

Survivors include his wife Ashley, and children, Gracie and Nathan; and his parents, Jerry Lamar and Martha Ruth Vandiver of Emerson.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with The Reverend Drew Startup and The Reverend Chas Childers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church, 2 hours prior to the service.
