Obituary for Christopher "Bobo" Gilreath

Christopher "Bobo" Gilreath
Christopher “Bobo” Gilreath, 34, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Polk Medical Center. He was born on December 4, 1982, in Floyd County, to Michael Lawson Gilreath and Deneil Baumann Gilreath.
Chris struggled with some demons that he never could quite shake. Regardless of that he was still one of the most caring people anyone ever knew. He had a heart far larger than his personality and larger than life. He was more than a son to a mother that always referred to him as her best friend. He was always there to make her laugh and help her with anything she needed ;even if it was just to hang out and keep her company. In his kids eyes he was the greatest dad ever. He loved his kids more than anything else.
Chris has left a lot of empty voids in hearts that’ll never be filled. He could never be replaced and we look forward to that day when we will see him again. The family would like to send a special thank you to Kirk and to Diane for going above and beyond with everything they’ve done to help us during this time of grief.
Survivors include his mother, Deneil Gilreath of Taylorsville; his father, Mike Gilreath of Newton, Iowa; his children, Lexinton Levae Gilreath, Keaton Dooley and Lawson Joseph Gilreath all of Taylorsville; his brother, Neil Gilreath of Elyria, Ohio; along with nieces and nephews, Makenzie Jennings and Mason Gilreath.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Kirk Burrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Taylorsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from Noon – 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Neil Gilreath, Joey Simpson, Colin Gentry, Richard Gentry, Joel Tucker and Joshua McDaniel.
