Mrs. Ernestine “Tina” Ray, 52, of Cartersville, died Saturday, October 7, 2017 at her residence. Born March 5, 1965 in Smyrna, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Ellinger and Violet Watson Smith.
Mrs. Ray was a member of the Cloverleaf Baptist Church. She was very strong willed and drove a bus for 12 years. She loved kids and was very compassionate, faithful and full of life. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray; her brother, Bradley Williams; and her step-father, Doyle Smith.
Survivors include her children, Vanessa Bennett (Chris), Lauren Taylor (Cody), Hilary Ray (Joshua), Alexia Alvarez, Sierra Ball, David Klinger (Renee); grandchildren, Benjamin Zimmermann, Jaylen Ray, Ashlyn Taylor, Jasmine Ray, Katey Klinger; her sisters, Linda Coleman, Susan Blanton, Shannon Alvarez; her brother, Jerry Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Seth Bunch officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Bennett, Hilary Ray, Joshua Stephens, Cody Taylor, David Klinger and Jeff Coleman. Serving as Honorary pallbearer is Benjamin Zimmermann.
