Obituary for Evelyn Lucille Cooper

Evelyn Lucille Greenway Cooper, 87, of Cartersville, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 after a lengthy illness.
Born September 28, 1930 in Bartow County, Evelyn was the daughter of Ben Greenway and Ruth Bramblett Greenway.
Evelyn spent a large part of her life in the workforce. She was a hard worker and spent time employed at Goodyear, State Farm and Lay’s Dime Store. She also enjoyed creating/painting crafts with her husband, Gene. Evelyn loved visiting the Blue Ridge Mountains and spent many years traveling to small mountain craft shows. She was an avid baker and cook and loved to show off her skills at family gatherings. She will always be remembered for her bookshelves packed with cookbooks. Evelyn was of the Baptist faith and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Eugene Cooper (Gene); her siblings, Clyde Greenway, Potsy Greenway Siniard, Bernice Greenway Cox and Marvin Greenway.
Evelyn is survived by her loving brothers, Frank (Patsy) Greenway, Fred (Lois) Greenway, Carl (Eleanor) Greenway and Larry (Julia) Greenway; her sisters, Juanita Greenway (Ovell) Nation, Phyllis Greenway (Dale) Collins, and Pamela Greenway (Johnny) Godfrey; along with numerous nieces and nephews, to whom she thought of as her own.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Ovell Nation and The Reverend Scott Storey. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jody Greenway, Brian Nation, Michael Phillips, Stacey Siniard, Harold Siniard and Sean Storey.
