Obituary for William Harold Cole, Sr.

William Harold  Cole, Sr.
Mr. William Harold Cole, Sr. age 76, husband of Carolyn Cole for 57 years, died suddenly on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at his residence.

He was born in Alpharetta, Georgia on April 16, 1942 and was the son of the late Barney W. Cole and Dorothy Garner Cole.

Mr. Cole was a member and an ordained deacon of Crowe Springs Baptist Church. He was retired from Malbon, Inc., where he was a supervisor. Harold was one of the sweetest and the most aggravating person you would ever meet. He loved to hunt, fish and work on his tractor. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Luther and Marjorie Defreese; his sister, Lena Waits; and his sister-in-law, Peggy Tidwell.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn; his children, Renee White (Mark), Deneen Nizzari (Angelo) and Butch Cole (Kim); 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Doug Cole (JoAnn).

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Crowe Springs Baptist Church with The Reverend Butch Cole, Reverend Ronnie Cowart and Gene Powell officiating. Interment will follow in the Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery in Dallas at approximately 4:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Mr. Cole will be taken to the church on Sunday, where he will lie-in-state for one hour prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Shane White, Cliff White, Alex Turner, Luke Smith, David Bohannon and Kevin Littlefield. Levi, Emmit, Grayson, Gatlin, Leland, Gage, Tyler and Jayden will serve as honorary pallbearers.
