Obituary for Neil Cain

Neil Cain
Neil Cain entered his eternal salvation on November 29, 2017 at the age of 72. He was born November 20, 1945 in Oakland, California to the late Andrew Jackson Cain, Sr. and Marie Lupe Leyba. Neil died as he lived with strength earned through hardship, perseverance and faith. Neil enlisted in the Army, when others ran to the border to escape going to Vietnam. He was selected as one of quick assessment and skill sets for intelligence. The Army swiftly recruited him to be a part of the Special Forces Elite Airborne division.

Neil served his country, sheltered his family and spread the love of God through his Cornelius life. In death, he is reunited with his father Andrew J. Cain, Sr., mother Marie Lupe Leyba, sisters Shirley and Dianne, and his brother David. He leaves behind a multitude of memories by all those who have loved him and learned from him throughout the years. Neil placed his faith first and would be gratified to leave behind one final lesson: to live by the Word of God.
“He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God? Micah‬ ‭6:8‬

Neil is survived by his wife Nancy J. Cain, his children, Nathaniel J. Cain (Tricia Masters-Cain), Jessica C. Cain, his grandchildren Michael R. Cain, Nathaniel D. Cain. Neil is survived by his wonderful siblings Andrew J. (Sue) Cain III, Susann C. Barrett and Edward A. Cain.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Georgia National Cemetery with The Reverend David Warriner officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Patriot PAWS would be greatly appreciated, to assist veterans coping with PTSD, mobility issues and other disabilities sustained while protecting our great nation. Www.patriotpaws.org or Bill O’Reilly’s wounded warriors program www.woundedwarriorproject.org/Donate.
