Obituary for Clayton Hilburn

Clayton  Hilburn
Clayton Hilburn, 84, of Kingston, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Lafayette, Georgia on August 12, 1933, the son of the late Henry G. Hilburn and Mildred Campbell Buzan.
Mr. Hilburn was a founding member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church, a member of the Board of Trustees for Kingston Elementary School and Adairsville High School. He was a chicken farmer by trade and was on the growers advisory board for Gold Kist. He was also a member of Kingston Masonic Lodge and enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Opal Hilburn and a sister, Sandra Maddox.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Ann McEver Hilburn; his children, Frankie Freeman (Robin), Denise Sandidge (Trammell), Albert Hilburn (Angela) and Chris Hilburn (Shannon); 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Amazing Grace Baptist Church with The Reverend Greg Hunter officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Hilburn will be taken to the church on Saturday where he will lie-in-state for one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
