Obituary for Tommy Gill

Mr. Tommy Ray Gill, age 60, of Taylorsville, died on Saturday, July 1st, 2017. Born in Winnsboro, Louisiana on February 11, 1957, he was the son of the late Lola Marie Richmond and Clifton Samuel Gill.
Tommy was the Co-Owner of Gill Construction and was a member of The Church at Liberty Square. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, John Aaron Gill; his brother, James “Buddy” Gill; and his sister, Emma Wood.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Sanders Gill of Taylorsville; his sons, Tommy Gill, Jr. (Heather) of Taylorsville, Julius Michael Gill (Angie) of Taylorsville; his daughter, Michelle Gill of Taylorsville; his grandchildren, Dillon, Alyssa, Halli, John Michael, and Brenton Gill, Kailey Jernigan, Ryan Carpenter; his brothers, Clifton Gill, Jr., J.D Gill (Judy), Luther Gill (Kathy), Terry Gill (Ruby), Bobby Gill (Natalie); his sister, Shirley Kinler (Willie); and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at The Church at Liberty Square with Dr. Jacob King and Reverend Ricky Roberts officiating. Tommy will Lie-in-State from 10 - 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Flowers will be accepted; however those desiring to do so may make contributions to a local charity.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Payne, Billy Ward, Danny Bertrand, Matt Black, Kevin Barnette and James Gill. Pallbearers are asked to meet at the church at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Reece, Joe Harris, and Lamar “Turkey” Cantrell. Honorary pallbearers are asked to meet at the church at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.
