Obituary for Harold Glen King

Mr. Harold “Glen” King, 89, of Rydal, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Cartersville Medical Center.

He was a native of Bartow County, born on June 21, 1927, the son of the late William King and Ethyl Dixon King.

Mr. King retired from the Department of Transportation as a crane operator. He was a member of Northside Methodist Church, an avid gardener and a lover of all animals. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Young King; and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his sons, Mark King (Terri), David King (Jane Richards) and Jim King (Carolyn); along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Josh James officiating. Interment will follow in Millers Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Garrett Alford, John Young, John Jennings, Jimmy Dean, Doug Nichols and Gary Evans.
