Obituary for Connor McKinney

Connor  McKinney
Connor Ethan McKinney, 17, of Cartersville, died Monday, May 1, 2017 at his residence.

Born September 4, 1999, in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, he was the son of Nicole Pavey Butler and Jason McKinney. Connor was a junior at Cartersville High School and active with the video and tech team. He was a member of LifePoint Church and of Elevate. He enjoyed listening to music and volunteered at the children’s summer camp. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Rosie McKinney.

Survivors include his mother, Nicole Butler of Cartersville; his father, Jason McKinney of Dayton, Ohio; his siblings; Hannah McKinney, Abigail McKinney, Jack Butler, Molly Butler and Sadie Butler; his maternal grandparents, Marcia and Bob Pavey of Islamorada, Florida; his paternal grandparents, Jay McKinney of Frankfort, Indiana; his paternal great-grandfather, Harold McKinney; his uncle, Chris Pavey (Kristi); his aunts, Lora Smith (Kyle) and Melissa Shuey (Ryan); along with numerous cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church with The Reverend Nathan Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
