Before I was born, my father was stationed in the Army in Germany and my mom went with him. They met Juanita and Wendel who were there for the same reason. The two couples became instant friends and remained so well after their return home, Juanita and Wendel to Georgia and my parents to New York. Twila and I became pen pals as young girls and remain best of friends today. Our two families have been part of each other's lives for over 50 years.
Juanita will be very much missed by my family. My most heartfelt sympathies to her family.
