Inez McEntire Farmer, age 87, died Friday, September 23, 2016 at Cartersville Medical Center. She was born in Cartersville, Georgia on October 10, 1928, the daughter of the late Ralph McEntire Sr and Sallie Mae Stephenson McEntire.
Inez was a single mom, a hard worker and a strong Christian woman. She was a member of Wofford’s Crossroads Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Ms. Farmer was preceded in death by her brother, Rev Ralph McEntire Jr., her grandson, Scotty Lewis, and her great granddaughter Ashleigh Hicks.
Survivors include her only daughter, Brenda Farmer Lewis; her grandchildren Shelby Lewis Hicks, Stephanie Lewis Nardil (Joseph Nardil); her great grandchildren, Pito Linares, Dianne Linares, Adam Hicks, Arturo Linares, and Breanna Huskins; her nieces Sandra Bruce and Betty McEntire; great nephew, Darryl Broadaway (Beverly); and great great grandchildren, Giovanni Garrett and Vincenzo Linares.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 26, 2016 at Wofford’s Crossroads Baptist Church with The Rev Larry Huskins officiating. Ms. Farmer will lie in state 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Wofford’s Crossroads Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
