Obituary for Jeanette Idol
Mrs. Jeanette Brown Idol, age 74, of Cartersville, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Cartersville Medical Center. She was born in Shelby, North Carolina on March 6, 1942 to the late Wilbur Brown and Pearl Glover Brown.
She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Shelby, North Carolina. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Carson Jones and Lloyd Idol, Sr.
Survivors include her children, Phil and Kim Jones, Spencer Jones, Susan and Dexter Higgins and Sherry Johnson; eight grandchildren; her sisters, Jean and Ricky Edmondson, Wilma and Ronnie Hamrick; and her special friend, Betty Scism.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Shelby, North Carolina with The Reverend Mike Gantt officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 Noon – 2:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. At other times, the family will be at 104 Belaire Circle, Shelby, North Carolina, 28152.
