Obituary for James Herman Ellis

Mr. James Herman Ellis, age 73, of Cartersville died Sunday, March 27, 2016 at his residence. Born in Fulton County on May 16, 1942, he was the son of the late Fred Cox and Martha Hyde Cox.

Mr. Ellis enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling and being outdoors. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Sandy Ellis; and his brothers, Mike and Johnny Ellis.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Linda Ellis of Cartersville; his daughters, Sabrina and Donald Floyd of Cartersville, Jolinda Curtis of Tennessee, Crystal Ivey of Bruce, Mississippi, and Angie King of Tennessee; his sons, Richard Ellis of Tennessee, Ronald Ellis of Tennessee and Christopher Medvecky of Tennessee; his sister, Diane King of Cartersville; his brother, Reverend L.W. Ellis; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews; along with his beloved dog, “Little Bit”.
