Mrs. Mattie Lee Flowers Smith, 86, of Cartersville, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 at Townsend Park Health & Rehab.
Mattie was born in Ringgold, Georgia on July 1, 1929. Mrs. Smith was a member of Freedom Worship Center and enjoyed taking care of her family and home. Preceding her in death along with her parents are her first husband, Nathan Smith and her second husband, M.J. Vaughn.
Survivors include her sons, Michael Smith and wife, Janice and Stevie Smith and wife, Julie; her daughter-in-law, Christy Smith; her grandchildren, April Rose Smith and husband, Jesse Wilbanks; her great-grandchild, Eli James Wilbanks.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2016 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Ronnie Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Ryo Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 – 1:30 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service.
